Walkerjet Paramotor Cruise Control power setting adjustment on the F 16 throttle # 2:

Always building better mouse trap........Not that long ago I have finished improvement to the Walkerjet Paramotor F16 throttle. See here  But I thought there must be a way to alter the cruise so there is more then just one cruise control setting. I have sat down and started to think. This is what I came up with....

I have used old cordless phone antenna and cut off the last 2 sections. I have bent the end as such:

The inside part slides freely through the outside part

Next was to drill a hole through the throttle cover.

This was the trickiest part as I could not use drill since the hole must be aligned with the throttle cover.

I end up drilling the hole by use of wise grip by hand. It  took me about 10 min to work my way through the lip on the throttle cover.

I have used pencil to mark where the holes should be drilled on the trigger.

I have drilled the holes

I have assembled the throttle and taped the above part of antenna to throttle body.

So now no matter what the amount of power is I can always slide the inside part of the antenna to the right which will lock the trigger in place. Therefore I have 8 different cruise power settings.

This improvement allows me to set the cruise to the exact amount of power that is needed for a level flight with respect to particular flight conditions. For example, you generally need more power to stay at level flight if you are higher. The way my cruise control is set up now I will always be able to set my cruise to any of the these flight modes:

  • very steep descent

  • steep descent

  • shallow descent

  • level flight

  • slight climb

  • steeper climb

  • very steep climb

I hope you did not start on the previous improvement as this is much better solution to cruise control setting on Walkerjet Paramotors.

Good luck.   Andre
