Just responding about my experience with the exam. I will attach the confirmation email that I received from them with instructions they gave.
Apart from that, I had tried to call the Mississauga and North York offices but couldn’t get a human. The message at those offices said that any request to write an exam have to be submitted in writing and was vague as to how appointments were assigned… seemed like too much work.
I then called the Hamilton office at 905-679-3477. I got through, they asked for my medical certificate number and I booked a date to write. They do exams on Mon/Wed/Fri , 4 in the morning and 4 in the Afternoon. The soonest was a month+/- from when I called.
They sent an email with the instructions for the day of the test (time, address, what to bring, etc). There is also a link on that email to PRE-PAY for the exam by e-transfer. You must pre-pay!
On the day of the exam, 4 people wrote various exams at the same time. They ask for photo I.D, medical certificate, log book, proof of payment prior to writing. There are no papers/phones allowed in. Calculator/protractors are.
The exam is done on a computer.
The results are given about 5 minutes after you’ve finished writing.
